Rayman Legends: Time and a Half
I love Rayman as much as the next guy but tbh the fandom is having a meltdown rn and I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings but some of you have got to grow up and have patience when these things happen.
I have to admit that I am one of the people who preordered Rayman Legends Retold. Despite this, I don't expect compensation for the delay. I was very concerned about the state of the game, even for the stuff that was shown off at Gamescom. I want a game that works out of the box, with minimal patches. I shouldn't have to update the game every single time I want to play it. That's horrible game development and I don't stand by it. I can't even stand when a game updates no more than once a month.
I'm glad they're delaying . I believe that patience is the biggest virtue a fan can have. I have known the Rayman fandom for their resilience, and it is very strange that the fandom was quick to point blame at GTA VI instead of recognizing that our greed as gamers has resulted in us never being satisfied with games. We want companies to release games sooner, but then get pissed off when the game is incomplete or half-assed right out of the box. Nintendo has had this problem since 2020, and it's not going well for them. Rayman Legends Retold releasing so closely to GTA VI does not mean that the latter will ruin the former's sales. As far as I'm concerned, these are two completely different fanbases. If you want Rayman to succeed but can't choose between Rayman and GTA, that's not something you blame GTA for, and it's not a pressing matter to complain about. Weigh the pros and cons of each, and make a decision like any other consumer.
For me personally, even if all of this is true, the world has more pressing issues at hand than whether or not your favorite game gets another title for you to spend your money on. I find the reactions to a delay like this to be entitled at best. And frankly, I don't give a shit because I live in an area where my rights are being stripped away just so some fuck can win a seat in the house. The life-affirming care I need is being legislated out of existence because fascism is being let loose in my country, and you're bitching about a stupid videogame getting delayed by three months. I'm being told I won't be able to go on T until I can get on my own insurance. I'm going to be waiting for my heaven much longer than you have to wait for yours.
Grow the fuck up and wait for December like the rest of us.
