Not in this world, they don't. The Glade of Dreams is now the Metal Terra. The Lividstones and Robo-Pirates colonized Rayman's world before he was even born. Gladeish people are often persecuted and forced to live in terrible conditions, if they are even allowed to live at all. Rayman's fortunate enough to live with his mother, Betilla the fairy, in a rural community in the Dream Forest, where the one-of-a-kind thingamajig won't be bothered or worse. His best friend, Globox, also lives here. He's... worse for wear. Together, and with some new friends along the way, they must learn how to live.
It is all they can do.
