Back East :D
A couple days ago our parents and us made the trip back to the US Northeast because of my sister's graduation. The trip was long, and I filled most of it with sleeping in the car, submitting one last paper for finals' week, and then playing games on our 3DS. I'm thinking of expanding our 3DS game collection with games like Cars (DS) and Cars 2 (DS/3DS, but I want to take advantage of the 3DS's wider top screen). We already have Cars Maternational so I've been playing that. It was a childhood game that I lost in the vents at my grandparents' house. They found it while cleaning four years ago, and so I have it again and surprisingly it works just fine! I've 100%'ed it twice already and now I just play whatever I feel like playing, usually the challenge mode eliminations.
Our sister's graduation was very long and boring. There were over a thousand graduates and lots of pre-recorded video filler that felt more like a promotion or a social media post. Like holy shoot man they just graduated, what makes you think they're coming back? lol in this economy. There were also two obnoxious white man-childs in their 50s sitting behind me talking shit about other ppl's kids (even called a couple of them "a waste of children") and one of them kept kicking my feet occasionally till I stamped his feet with my toes, then he moved. Trans men are still men, and as a man myself men DO NOT need to take up that much space holy FUCK—
Our system is sort of messy. No one's really communicating. We buzzed our hair and our mother got pissy with us about it. Mostly because she's transphobic herself (though she'll never admit it, that's some yt ppl shit right there) but because our grandmother on our father's side is also transphobic. She didn't think to talk to me directly about my transness if she had a problem with it? So yeah, it's putting our system on a sort of lockdown since we'll have to see her while we're here. I texted her about stopping by and she hasn't answered yet, so I assume she's completely lost touch with reality. If she won't answer me then I guess Dad's gotta do it or something.
Since our last post, we've been on a low-hormone dosage of birth control to manage PMDD symptoms, heavy flow, and severe menstrual pain for the past two months. It is not the absolute lowest dosage we could receive: that's lo loestrin, but the issue is lo loestrin is not covered by our insurance (the fucking cunts), so it costs $60 USD for 28 days worth. Hoping that the market becomes saturated with generics of that once the patent expires (2029, they say!), because even the lowest dose that our insurance does cover still causes joint pain and even some rashes. I'm seriously starting to hate big pharma. Have to deal with pill that makes my joints rusty in order to not want to kill myself? Give me a break.
Oh, well. Most of our problems will vanish once we're able to at least go on T (no period = no PMDD, plus grow extra hairy n get a deeper voice so there will be no chance of denial any longer). We turn 23 this month, graduate in December this year, and then hopefully will become more self-sufficient and going to school somewhere here in the East Coast rather than the shithole that is Indiana.
Here's to hoping.
